Tiffany's Story

Before Embrace Grace, I had recently finished nursing school and was preparing to welcome my third baby. At the time, my family was also looking for a church to call home. When I heard about Embrace Grace, I didn't know much about the program. I just thought it would be nice to connect with other pregnant moms in a Christian community. I had no idea how much more it would become.

One of the biggest things Embrace Grace taught me was the importance of boundaries. As a mom, I had struggled with speaking up because I worried that setting boundaries would push people away. Through the lessons and conversations with the other women, I learned that my feelings were valid and that I could communicate what was important to me in a healthy way. One lesson about the negative thoughts and chains we hold onto especially stayed with me. I realized I could surrender my fear of losing people to God and trust Him as I learned to stand confidently in my role as a mother.

Embrace Grace also gave my family the church community we had been searching for. I actually went into labor on the day of our baby shower, but the women immediately surrounded me with prayer, checked on me, and made sure we still received everything they had prepared for us. Their love didn't stop when the semester ended. They have continued loving my children and walking alongside our family. We eventually began attending the church and are now part of the congregation. I couldn't be more grateful for the church family God gave us through Embrace Grace.
