Amanda's Story

My name is Amanda, and if there is one thing I have learned, it is that God’s grace can reach us even when we feel the most broken. Although I grew up in a loving Christian home, I spent years searching for acceptance in the wrong places. I experienced addiction, unhealthy relationships, and devastating loss. Even after becoming sober, I still struggled to recognize my worth.

Then I found out I was pregnant again. Fear took over, and for the first time, I considered abortion. After talking with my sister, I visited a pregnancy center where they reminded me of the value of life. They gave me a Love Box with my daughter Haven’s first onesie and a handwritten note telling me I was brave. Soon afterward, I joined Embrace Grace.

Through Embrace Grace, I relearned who I am in Christ. I realized my worth does not come from a relationship, someone else’s approval, or my past mistakes. My worth comes from God. The program helped me understand why I had accepted unhealthy relationships for so long and allowed God to begin healing those wounds.

Today, I cannot imagine life without Haven. What once felt like a crisis became one of God’s greatest blessings. Embrace Grace gave me community and helped me become a stronger mother to all my children. Most importantly, it led me back to the truth of who God says I am.
